The FRAME policy outlined the agreed guiding principles, standards and values that will underpin risk practice in Scotland. This adopted the principles of proportionality, rights and evidence based practice to guide defensible and ethical risk assessment and management.
The publication of the FRAME policy paper represented the beginning of a multi-agency collaboration on an ambitious programme of change. FRAME identifies collaboration as a guiding principle; and the publication is credit to the collaborative sprit and commitment to partnership that the representatives of the agencies have brought to the initiative thus far. Building on this commitment and support, Scottish criminal justice agencies are working with the Risk Management Authority to establish the framework through the following workstreams of Standards and Guidelines, Research and Evaluation, Learning and Development
