The Risk Management Authority is the Scottish public body which has been set up to ensure the effective assessment, management and minimisation of risk of serious violent and sexual offenders. It will be a national centre for expert advice on offender risk assessment and management.

The Risk Management Authority (“RMA”) is a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) and is registered as such with the Information Commissioner. The RMA will process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the DPA. The RMA may appoint secure data processors or data controllers including course trainers to process your data on the RMA’s behalf.

Your personal data obtained by the RMA as a result of completing this course will be used to assess your development and understanding of the course’s subject matter and will also be used as a tool to help us evaluate the course. We will hold your personal data securely and we will not share it with any other persons or organisations other than those parties requiring proof of your attainment, including course trainers appointed in terms of the preceding paragraph.
